We make AI Chat Bot. We compared it with CustomGPT.ai using its pricing page, with its plan grid, add-ons and FAQ, and its help docs on usage limits, actions, lead capture, models and syncing, all read on October 1, 2026, and our own product as it works today. We didn't buy a CustomGPT.ai plan for this page. Where its docs don't describe something, we write “not published” rather than “no”. Review quotes come from a public Capterra page with three reviews, and aren't a sample of all opinion. Where CustomGPT.ai is the better pick, we say so.

At the query limit, it stops answering
CustomGPT.ai's pricing FAQ says that when you hit your plan's query limit, the system stops responding to queries. Its docs add that the account may not work normally until the next monthly cycle. The way out is 2,500 extra queries for $375 a month, or a bigger plan.

Lead Capture is an agentic action, and on Standard each scan that records contact details adds 2 queries on top of the reply. Drive Conversions adds 2 per response, and Verify Responses adds 9. A sales-minded setup uses the 1,000 monthly queries faster than the headline suggests.

Standard is $99 a month for 1,000 queries. Removing “Powered by CustomGPT.ai” and automatic re-syncing of your website both need Premium, at $499 a month, and choosing the AI model needs Enterprise.

Reviewers say it costs more than other chatbots
In reviews from 2023 and 2024, two of the three Capterra reviewers call its plans more expensive than other chatbot builders for the same kind of features. There's no free plan, the seven-day trial takes a card, and it bills automatically when the trial ends.

Each message your agent answers, at 1 query on standard models and 2 on models such as Claude Opus or GPT-5.4, which only Enterprise can pick. Actions add more: Lead Capture adds 2 on Standard each time it records details. Ours counts one customer message answered, with nothing added for taking a lead.
Does AI Chat Bot make up answers?
It's built not to. A factual answer has to cite one of your facts, your own answers or your page's exact wording, or it's blocked and passed to you; you can see this on the Test page. CustomGPT.ai takes accuracy just as seriously, so this is a fair place to try both on your own questions.
Can AI Chat Bot read thousands of documents?
No. It reads up to 50 pages of your website and 20 documents of up to 4 MB each, turned into checked facts. That covers a local business's services, prices, hours and policies. For a large document library, CustomGPT.ai is built for the job and we aren't.

Not on either, below CustomGPT.ai's Enterprise plan. Every AI Chat Bot account runs on one model, the one our checks for grounding, refusals and handoffs were built and passed on, which is also why every reply counts as one message.
